Volunteers Band Together to Provide Healthcare for Those in Need

In August of 2010 at the Carolina First Center in Greenville, South Carolina, more than 1,200 patients from 20 counties were provided free medical, dental, and eye care by a cadre of over 500 volunteer physicians, nurses, dentists, eye care professionals, medical students, administrators, and general volunteers. This week, much of the state has been celebrating the USC Gamecock baseball team’s second consecutive national championship.
