Keynote Speakers
Robert EggerRobert Egger is the Founder and President of the DC Central Kitchen, the country’s first “community kitchen”, where food donated by hospitality businesses and farms is used to fuel a nationally recognized culinary arts job training program, where unemployed men and women learn marketable skills while donations are converted into balanced meals. Robert’s book on the non-profit sector, Begging for Change: The Dollars and Sense of Making Nonprofits Responsive, Efficient and Rewarding For All, was released in 2004 by HarperCollins. It received the 2005 McAdam Prize for “Best Nonprofit Management Book” by the Alliance for Nonprofit Management. Janine LeeJanine Lee is a veteran strategist and grantmaker in philanthropy, with more than twenty five years of rich and diverse leadership with nonprofits and foundations; as well as experience in prevention, youth development, education, community building and non-profit effectiveness. Janine is currently the President and CEO of the Southeastern Council of Foundations, which is a membership association of grantmaking foundations based in 11 southeastern states. SECFs mission is to champion excellence in all philanthropic activities and promote the creation of new charitable resources in the region. |
