Service on a nonprofit Board is not simply a matter of volunteering whenever you have extra time, or showing up when it’s convenient. Serving on a nonprofit Board requires serious commitment and comes with high expectations.

This workshop is geared for business professionals and community members who are interested in connecting with and serving on a local nonprofit Board. Individuals who are currently serving on a Board and want to better understand their role as a Board member are also welcome to participate. The class is designed to educate participants on the leadership roles, responsibilities, and rewards of serving on a nonprofit Board, as well as what to consider before agreeing to serve on a board.
