Award winning author and noted contemplative, Kathleen Norris will explore the art of contemplative living, looking at ways of listening for the still, small voice in a busy and noisy world. The focus will be on the discipline of using time and routine as a scaffold rather than a rut; avoiding the distractions that are available to us 24/7. This special evening event will be a lecture, open conversation, and dialogue with Kathleen Norris co-sponsored with Mepkin Abbey. Reception to follow. Exploring the spiritual life, Kathleen Norris' work is at once intimate and historical, rich in poetry and meditations, brimming with exasperation and reverence, deeply grounded in both nature and spirit, sometimes funny, and often provocative. She is the award-winning poet, writer, and author of The New York Times bestsellers The Cloister Walk, Acedia & Me: A Marriage, Monks, and a Writer's Life, Dakota: A Spiritual Geography, Amazing Grace: A Vocabulary of Faith, and The Virgin of Bennington.

Cost is $25 in advance and $35 at the door. For more information and how to register, please click here:
