About the webinar

This webinar will just be via audio. (Please dial in using the number 866-740-1260, access code 9290399#.) All attendees will be muted during the call. We will create a 45-minute podcast to share with Board members and will take questions via email afterwards. (Please email margaret@scanpo.org with any questions.)

Rachel Hutchisson, Vice President of Corporate Citizenship & Philanthropy at Blackbaud and Governance Chair of the Coastal Community Foundation for the last three years, as well as Madeleine McGee, President of SCANPO, will lead a conversation focused on creating an effective Governance Committee. As she prepares to hand over the committee reins in June, she joins Madeleine to reflect on the work accomplished under her leadership, sharing tools and thoughts she feels will help other Governance Committee chairs.

Just a few of the questions that will be addressed:

1) What are the primary responsibilities of a Governance Committee?

2) How do you create effective Board policies?

3) What is the process to successfully recruit members?

4) How do you evaluate the effectiveness of your committee?
