For Our Grantmaker Partners

SCANPO works closely with United Ways, community foundations as well as corporate and private foundations.

Our partnerships with grantmaking organizations are designed to meet the needs of their grantees and communities through customized Grantmaker Partner agreements that include: 1)  annual Partner Dues (determined by total grants made in South Carolina for the previous year) and 2) sponsorships or grants for customized services based on the offerings listed below.

Services Available for Grantmaker Partners:

2012 Conference Offerings
  • Recognition as a Conference Sponsor in various conference materials at $500, $1,000, $2,500, $5,000 and $10,000 levels
  • Tailored Scholarship Programs for grantees to cover conference registration, with online application for grantees and selection by grantmakers
  • Registration for staff
Community Assistance / Knowledge Network Partners Services
  • Collaboration on regional gatherings / trainings targeted to grantees / community needs
  • Access to vetted speakers and webinars for nonprofit organizations of various sizes
  • Training materials, including SCANPO’s Guiding Principles & Best Practices, 2012 edition
Grantee-specific Services
  • Customized training for an individual grantee, or a select group of grantees
  • Discounts for SCANPO memberships for grantees
  • Technical assistance for start-up nonprofits in service area
Sector-wide Services
  • Advocacy on sector-wide issues
  • Invitation to SCANPO’s Executive Roundtable and other sector specific gatherings
  • Access to and participation in sector-specific research
Communications Support
  • Listing as a SCANPO Knowledge Network Partner and link from SCANPO’s website
  • Assistance with statewide media outreach and sector communications
Grantmaker Partner Member Benefits (rates based on annual distributions)
  • Organization profile and access to SCANPO’s Nonprofit Member Directory on website
  • Multiple user access to member section of SCANPO website (up to 20 staff and Board)
  • Access to Preferred Provider Discounts – insurance, services, products
  • Use of Consultant & Business Partner Directory on member section of website
  • Member-only e-mails
  • Free job postings on Nonprofit Job Center ($125 /job posting for nonmembers)
  • Member Rates for SCANPO learning workshops, seminars and publications
