SCANPO Membership Benefits

SCANPO offers many benefits to it's members, and we continuously work to find new ways to serve our members. Members have a special members only section to include a message forum to connect with other nonprofit leaders, a community calendar to post member events, a searchable membership directory, additional resources and more!

  • SC Nonprofit Network Directory: A comprehensive directory with profiles of over 800 agencies, an index of their programs, size, location and type of service provided. Search our online directory to find South Carolina nonprofits.

  • Online Consultant Databank: A database of consultants is easily accessible for nonprofits seeking professional assistance.

  • Nonprofit Resource Library: A large collection of helpful nonprofit materials at your fingertips. Come by our office today or search our online directory!

  • The Nonprofit Advocate: Acclaimed quarterly newsletter provides you with news, features, resources and other items of interest to nonprofit professionals.

  • The Nonprofit Helpline: SCANPO’s toll-free Helpline (1-800-438-8508) for answers to your nonprofit questions.

  • Advocacy Network: Public policy news and updates on federal and state legislation affecting nonprofits.

  • GrantStation:  Join over 100,000 nonprofit organizations, educational institutions and government agencies that receive the GrantStation Insider each week.

Training & Technical Assistance

  • S.C. Annual Nonprofit Conference: SCANPO’s signature event focuses on cutting edge management, administrative and governance issues impacting nonprofits. The event now attracts close to 400 nonprofit leaders annually. The 2010 Annual Nonprofit Conference is scheduled for March 10-11, 2010 in Hilton Head. 

  • Nonprofit Seminars and Workshops: A year-long schedule of hands-on seminars is offered throughout the state.

  • House Calls: SCANPO offers customized workshops and technical assistance to help nonprofit organizations with specific issues.

  • Diagnostic Clinics: Free one-hour sessions where a SCANPO staff member meets with representatives of an organization to discuss issues and explore possible solutions. Contact the SCANPO office today!

  • Organizational Assessments: A tool by which an organization can assess and measure its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to its success and sustainability. Coming Soon!

  • The Legal Referral Program: Through a partnership with the SC Bar, SCANPO members have access to pro bono legal assistance.

  • Satellite Office of the Nonprofit Risk Management Center:  SCANPO will have access to a wide range of risk management resources that will serve to complement the association’s existing member benefits. SCANPO members may tap into the Nonprofit Risk Management Center’s technical assistance program

  • First Nonprofit Unemployment Program Services provides savings for member organizations with 10+ employees as much as 60% annually on your employment expenses.

Insurance and Risk Management Products:

  • Cooley and Darling Insurance Agency offers members D&O coverage and underwriting and policy issuance services for numerous lines of insurance coverage, including general, auto and professional liabilities; event cancellation; and educators legal liability.

Rental Car Program Enterprise Rent a Car and SCANPO have negotiated rates on all classes of vehicles, but the special rate is on the Standard Class for $43.99/day.
