SCANPO’s Knowledge Network is designed to provide access to a variety of quality learning and capacity-building resources South Carolina’s nonprofit leaders need.
From online webinars, to our annual SC Nonprofit Summit; from SCANPO’s own Guiding Principles & Best Practices publication to useful links and sample documents provided by our partners; our aim is for this website to be the first place you go whenever you have a question that needs answering.
Necessity is the mother of invention. In the nonprofit world, this often means that organizations grow out of the simplest of seeds: someone sees a need, and rolls up his or her sleeves up to meet it. But identifying needs and having a desire to address them and affect change does not always mean you know what you're doing, or what you've gotten in to when you dig in.
That's where SCANPO comes in.
As the state's premier nonprofit resource, we offer a knowledge network that's bar none. If you are a start-up charitable organization, or if you've been around for decades and simply want to continue to improve, we offer guidelines, how-tos, seminars and workshops on professional development, board development, nonprofit management and governance.
We encourage peer-to-peer mentoring with your fellow member organizations. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel. South Carolina's nonprofit leaders know SCANPO is the way "to give and get help."
